Nine of Cups
In numerology the number nine is the culmination of all of the numbers from zero to nine. Spiritually it is the height of vibrational energies. Nine represents attainment, satisfaction, accomplishment, and influence. This includes intellectual power, inventiveness, influence over people and situations. Nine beseeches us to recognize our own attributes and extend these to make a positive difference.
Combining nine with the Tarot Nine of Cups we see a line up of nine cups like trophies behind a man of obvious wealth and emotional satisfaction albeit a tendency to overindulge. His appetites have been gratified and he seems proud of his accomplishments. His table is full and he expects admiration. However, I wonder what has been swept under the table?
The red hat implies energy and may signal a time to enjoy the pleasures of attainment. Is this temporary or can this be too much of a good thing? In the traditional Rider Waite card the fellow crosses his arms over his chest which implies self involvement. Can such a person be empathetic and sensitive to others?
The royal colors of the Robin Wood deck represent royalty and the rotund figure confirms his indulgence. The cups in this deck are placed around the figure and seem to float in the air.
Traditionally the Nine of Cups is called the 'wish card' signifying material happiness and emotional satisfaction.
UPRIGHT – Victory, triumph over material affairs, difficulties surmounted.
REVERSED
Become generous and share wealth.
Everything hidden from sight will be exposed.
Superficial material goods and false attachments will be released.
Let go of former attributes of smugness and complacency
Opposition and difficulties may upset plans
Continued self-indulgence could lead to addiction, and recklessness.
Spiritual or inner work needs to be attended to.

Helping Your Querent Achieve Their Goals for 2012
I use many of the ancient spiritual teachings to help my querents work out their desires and goals by using their subconscious minds as the overseer. We have been brought up to view our surroundings as solid, material and relatively unchangeable and that we are a slave to the conditions around us.
When my querents consider that an inner and greater mind is at work and that they have been slaves to their smaller, conscious mind they are willing to address that smaller 'monkey mind' or ego to behave to achieve their desires and goals.
This process is difficult at first because our upbringing and environment have set patterns that must be changed. You must be willing to change from the old system of orientation to the new if you want the new approach to work fully for you.
For those who have been told that their dreams will never happen believe all that they have been told. Friends and relations who have kept the negative parts of the 'story' or addiction alive may be left behind until the querent is healed.
I have accumulated some of the teachings that allow me to assist the querent in acquiring a new belief system that attracts what they believe is good and will make them happy...saying affirmations in the present also turns things around. Words to avoid are those that refer to the future or past. Also avoid words that are negative.
Your goals are usually conceptualized desires, and once formed they act like magnets, drawing from those vast fields of interrelatedness conditions best suited to their fulfillment. Remember, the intellect or conscious mind alone cannot bring about the fulfillment of those goals.
Desires of yours that are fitting to your nature will automatically come to pass, unless you block them through disadvantageous beliefs. This requires almost constant monitoring at first. Later, the unconscious mind is allowed to put you in the right place at the right time.
When the intellect is used properly, it thinks of a goal and automatically arouses other levels of communication unknown to it, so that all forces work together toward the achievement.
When the intellect is improperly used, it is as if the intellect feels required to somehow know or personally direct all of those inner processes. Don't try to be God or direct the process. Concentrate upon the goal, rather than the means of attaining it, and you will attain it.
Even when nothing shows in physical reality all the proper circumstances and conditions are being brought together because the subconscious mind is not constrained by time or space. They may appear suddenly or may not appear in the order you think they should because your vision is limited. Your inner self brings about your desire, but also considers it in the light of your entire life situation so that it comes about in the best way - and time - possible.
The conscious (small) mind does not have to have all the information required. It only needs to have the faith that means are available, even if those means are beyond its own scope of activity.
Natural optimism is a power. It believes in triumph, in pleasant, unpredictable surprises, in unexpected solutions and joyful occurrences. Those who spend a lot of time in the negative experience more of the same.
The power of the universe is a personal one. When your intent is clear, events fall into place from the most minute to the most momentous.
When you change your focus you change the outcome. This is done by combining belief, emotion and imagination, and forming them into a mental picture of the desired result. All the senses attract change more rapidly.
When you learn to trust your feelings and your impulses, something very strange happens. They turn quite trustworthy. (Misplacing your car keys may prevent you from having an accident so do not press for speed).
Your clear intent sets forces working for you. The clear intent takes it for granted that the results will indeed be highly beneficial and not cause detriments.
You can think of what you will do with the money – how you cause it to increase life’s enjoyment, which will in turn benefit you and others.
Ask and you shall receive. Ask half-heartedly and you shall receive in exactly that measure.
Give suggestions before sleep that in one way or another during the dream state your knowledge will be increased.
Organize your reality according to your playfulness, dreams, joy, and hopes.
I teach having faith in a creative, fulfilling, desired end – sustained faith – and imagination that literally draws from the universe all of the necessary ingredients, all of the elements, all of the details, and then inserts into physical life the impulses. This requires acting upon subtle impulses, dreams, chance meetings, motivations or whatever is necessary so that the desired end then falls into place as a completed pattern. You may be ignoring significant clues that point to desires that are being formed, seeing them instead as insignificant.
